Abstract
Primary ovarian leiomyosarcoma is one of the least common Gynecological neoplasm. These tumors occur at any age-generally affected post menopause women. The most common initial symptoms were abdominal swelling with pain and usually large
unilateral
mass. The prognosis for ovarian leiomyosarcoma is poor, with most patients dying of recurrence within two years of initial presentation. But the prognosis of primary ovarian leiomyosarcoma cannot be accurately assessed because scant information
is
available about many of the reported patients and long-term follow up is usually lacking. We present a case of primary ovarian leiomyosarcoma in a 45-year-old woman and reviwe of literature. The recognition and follow up of additional disease
will
help
define the natural history of this rare disease.
